I’ve been continuing to make washcloths and dishcloths. I really like them…they hold the soap and give you lots of lather! Sorry if the pic looks funny…for some reason when I upload, the pic is HUGE…so I have to shrink it, and for some reason, it’s not in proportion.

I am so sorry to just leave like that and not give notice that I was taking a hiatus. I have put a couple of new things on my blog. I am also going to start putting more of an effort into selling my crafts!! There are a couple of photos on my Flickr site showing some things that I make. There isn’t much right now, but I have been making more and will add photos as I complete things! If there is something that you would like to purchase, drop me a note!
Things have been a bit crazy around here, but I think that they are starting to settle down a bit.

Yes…the hole in the floor has been coverd AND we have walls instead of blankets…and THANK GOD — it is friggin’ COLD here!!! We have another storm blowing through — not NEARLY as bad as NY and PA…but still–it’s snow!! This weekend is going to stink, but after that the temp will be rising!
I will be taking pics of the new bathrooms shortly…well, maybe I should wait until the walls are up and painted…no, I’ll just take a couple. I am so proud of Hubby! He did a TERRIFIC job!! It looks — well, will look spectacular! I have also learned a lot by doing this..now, I can put in a toilet!
Trying to get A COMPLETE bathroom done….yes, right now, we do not have one complete bathroom! We go to the toilet upstairs, the shower is downstairs (the kids could take a bath…it’s a bit small, though!), and we brush our teeth in the kitchen…and my daughter and son-in-law and his parents are due here at the end of the month…AND we are having Easter dinner for all of them, my parents, brothers, uncle and grandmother!!!

…Yes — he is IN the floor! The floor had rotted. He is part in the basement crawl space and in the future new toilet area!!
I actually am handling this quite well…considering that I am a bit of a neat freak. I know that this has to be dirty before it can get clean…and hubby figures that this weekend we should have walls in the new bath (yea!! It will be warm to take a shower!!) and we’ll have the nasty cupboards out!! I can’t wait to rearrange things in the entrance a bit –at least so we can walk in the door!
This is a scarf that I made a while ago…just regular stockinette stitch. I love the color and the built-in bobbles! I usually have to look for it, though…D2 likes it as much as I do! Hopefully, we won’t need to use it much longer…we are having a bit of a “tease” warm up. Very windy here…but I sure am enjoying warmer weather!
Earrings are what I have been into lately…out of needing a certain color one day.

I’m starting to get a bit better and a bit more creative the more that I make. I’m starting to run out of supplies, though… with no trip to JoAnn’s in site — it’s looking a bit grim. Maybe I’ll do a bit of sewing….although I REALLY need to continue knitting!
I’ve been busy with the puppies. It sems as though Reese’s milk is drying up…they don’t seem to be getting enough. I did suppliment them a bit today…we’ll see how it goes later today and tomorrow!
HAPPY MARCH!! I can feel a bit of a lighter feeling knowing that Spring and a “new beginning” is not too far away!! Maybe things will start moving into place a bit and we can start catching up with things that we so desperately need to!
WOW…I remember wanteing to stay up (past my bedtime) both as a schoolgirl and an adult. I actually did DVR it so that I could watch what I may have missed…..but, I missed NOTHING! I don’t know if it’s that I am busy with house things, kid things, trying to get-out-of-debt things….not sure. All that I know is that I really DON’T CARE anymore about all of that stuff. Things in my life that are going on right now are what is keeping my attention…. D3 lost two teeth in two days, D2 and D3 went to the docrtor for asthma medicine, we got eight eggs from the chickens today, have the puppies opened their eyes yet?, did the girls have a good day at school?, how many times have the bill collectors called?, what can i make for dinner?, did my shows record?, etc… You get the idea, as I’m sure a lot of us have better things to think about (well…even if they aren’t better, they are things about our life!)
Alright….I REALLY have had it with the snow! I know that it is winter still, but…come on!!! I think that we have had enough snow…
Really! Well, at least the days are getting a bit longer….pretty soon the clocks get turned ahead!
I have to get back into knitting…maybe today I can get some things done…
Well…we are trying to do bits and pieces of this house as much as possible—as CHEAPLY as possible…but, well done. This is what our backsplash looked liked before….what I looked at EVERY day for the last ten months!!!!! Why I didn’t do something about it earlier, I still don’t know!

This is one of the first tile jobs that I have ever done! I thought that it turned out pretty well…considering that the tile we used was free from Hubby’s uncle — that was all we had to use. The picture doesn’t show how it looks finished with the tiles wiped off. I think that it’s a big improvement…plus, I had a lot of fun doing it! Now we need to do the floor!!!!
Well….I’m new here in the WordPress world. I was previously at Blogger — wanted to be able to do more things and a lot of the other Bloggers I visit have WordPress and they have been very happy, so I thought that I would give it a try!
